Publisher's Synopsis

This book presents a theoretical-critical journey about the meaning of the limit of the artist's body in performance through the experience of performances by the artist Rafael Falk. To this end, the concepts of body, limit and event are problematized using references from Art and Philosophy, seeking to bring these concepts closer to the process of mapping the face-to-face performances carried out by this young artist. For the theoretical basis of this study, we used a transdisciplinary perspective based on the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze and Baruch de Espinosa, addressing references and concepts that are interconnected and related to the subject of the research, which is inserted in the field of Visual Arts. The artists who make up the references for this study are Joseph Beuys, Marina Abramovic and Regina José Galindo, whose poetics enable us to problematize the performances of the artist Rafael Falk.
