Publisher's Synopsis

This book is more than just a philosophical deep dive into perception and empathy. It is my revelation; a personal odyssey born from my own introspection and self-examination. I began writing this book as a tool for my self-improvement in 2008, five years after I moved from Nigeria to the United States. It was intended to only be a collection of principles and reflections to help me grow and adapt to a culture I knew nothing about. But as I put my thoughts down on paper, a blueprint began to emerge.

Within these pages are the unvarnished reflections and lessons I have learned from trying to be a better human being for myself and a better human being for the people and relationships in my life. Through the use of analogies, parables, and metaphors, I lay bare the stumbling blocks I have encountered in my life and in my relationships. I now offer you these insights and hope they help you too become a better human being for yourself and a better human being for the people in your own life.
