Publisher's Synopsis

Milos Forman directs this biographical drama about the controversial life of Larry Flynt (Woody Harrelson), the free speech campaigner who made his millions publishing the pornographic magazine 'Hustler' in the 1970s. After making his name as a man who is willing to stand up for his rights, he meets and falls in love with go-go dancer Althea Leasure (Courtney Love). When Flynt is arrested on charges of obscenity and organised crime, his lawyer Alan Isaacman (Edward Norton) unsuccessfully defends him in court, announcing his sentence of 25 years in prison. Released after just five months however, Flynt battles through further lengthy legal proceedings in an attempt to clear his name once and for all.
