When reporter Emma Frost is urgently called to a crime scene at the centre of one of the island's busiest buildings, her heart drops. As the police gently lift the white sheet covering the body, Emma stares in horror: the gruesome marks carved on the woman's pale skin spell out Emma's name. The police identify the victim as Susie Larsen, who recently went missing, but can find no trace of a connection to Emma. But then the murderer contacts Emma directly. With her heart beating so fast it hurts, she reads aloud the words of a twisted riddle he wants her to solve. Then her son Victor disappears. Can Emma save her little boy?
