Publisher's Synopsis
In the mid-30th century, a poet and vocal opponent of a militant regime disappears in the middle of the brutal interplanetary war he protested fiercely against. Thirteen centuries later, a distant descendant - his great-great-granddaughter - discovers an entire collection of his poetry that lay forgotten amidst old papers. She decides to publish the collection. This is the story of a poet told through his own poetry. It is a story of inspiration, imagination and creation, of discovery and loss, of anger, powerlessness and despair, of transformation and transcendence. Above all, it is a story of love: the lovers' fiery passion; the powerful human attachment to a world often sad but forever full of wonders; and the love of life undiminished by the passage of time.
