The "Password" series is a six-level course for primary schools in the Caribbean. It introduces the structures/functions of English through a variety of activities. Each level focuses on building vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading and writing. This workbook is on level three.;The course acknowledges the diversity of West Indian speech while providing a grounding in standard English, both spoken and written. The activities include songs and rhymes, and should provide a systematic approach to practical language skills. The emphasis is on competence and confidence in using a variety of registers and on building vocabulary in a wide range of contexts, both local and international. The basics of scientific and mathematical discourse are also presented.;Optional workbooks are available for levels 1-3 of "Password". These provide additional practice in matching, reading and writing. Each level of "Password" has its own Teacher's Book, containing step-by-step lesson plans and suggestions for further activities.
