In recent years a wide variety of these boards has been developed. There are several methods of manufacture and many types of resin adhesives. There is a broad selection of thicknesses. Control of particle size and of particle distribution through the board makes possible production of boards with a wide range of surface properties. Many boards are now designed to have properties suited for specific uses.
