Publisher's Synopsis
In the middle of a small village in war-torn Turkey a young American doctor has a small child thrust upon him by a Burka-clad woman. He has no choice but to take the girl with him as he leaves for his next assignment with the World Health Organization in Jakarta, Indonesia. After convincing an American couple in the airport to take her he loses touch with the girl forever. This is a story about how that doctor regretted his decision for the rest of his life, and how the little girl struggled for the rest of her life to find him and any shred of her past. Will they find each other?
