Publisher's Synopsis
The steady accumulation of information relating to the structure, activity, and regulation of many specific eukaryotic genes has led to a dramatic increase in understanding of gene sequence and function. To gather some of this important new research in one source, Oxford Surveys on Eukaryotic Genes plans to publish approximately ten contributions per year, each devoted either to an individual gene in a single organism, or to a comparison of different sequences in the same or different organisms. In addition, the editor hopes to include carefully planed and lucidly written surveys of present knowledge on a selected topic.
