Oxford Primary Writing Assessment Handbook

Oxford Primary Writing Assessment provides schools with a comprehensive solution to teacher assessment of writing in line with the expectations of the 2014 National Curriculum in England. It uses the Oxford Writing Criterion Scale to inform consistent assessment of writing from Reception/P1 right through to Year 6/P7. It also provides schools with advice and simple tools to help record and track pupil attainment and progress, offers clear next steps for children to ensure success, and helps with reporting outcomes to parents and other stakeholders. Oxford Primary Writing Assessment provides annotated exemplification of writing standards for every year group as well as additional writing samples for staff training and moderation.
