They are split up into defined sections to allow the reader to find topics quickly, and are supplemented with full colour illustrations to aid quick and confident diagnoses. This set of cards covers the most common procedures that medical students need to be acquainted with. Each procedure is made up of two cards: the first showing an equipment list and details of how to carry out the procedure, followed by what to document in the patient's notes; the second contains related information, including indications, contra-indications, risks and extra tips on how to perform better or what to do in the event of problems.
