The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists holds regular study groups in which international experts in different fields meet to debate a topic of major current interest. During;6 - 8 April 1987 they met to discuss ovarian cancer.;Ovarian cancer remains a major preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic challenge to the gynaecologist. The cure rate of this disease is very low, and its incidence and death rate have doubled in 70 years.
