Via a number of case presentations the user can learn about investigating and diagnosing major middle-ear problems (for example, otosclerosis), and the use of relevant surgical techniques.;Other features include: interactive exercises - allow the user to make decisions about which techniques to use and to view the outcomes; high-quality images provide colour photographs, CT scans and some histological specimens for each case presentation, and video clips for the surgical procedures; voiceover and text provide simple explanations of all procedures; and the zoom feature on all photographs allows the user to look at the middle ear in minute detail, and retains the clarity of the image at all magnifications.;The CD-ROM is a dual-language edition and platform - English- and French-language options and Windows and Macintosh versions.
