Text in German. Our society is increasingly aware of collective risks as threats to peace. After the multiple catastrophe in Fukushima, a broad parliamentary majority in Germany decided to stop operating nuclear power plants by 2022 and to switch to alternative, renewable energy sources. The accident in Japan has reversed the burden of proof: the residual risk category, which previously referred to the improbable of a worst-case scenario, is now arousing suspicion everywhere, instead of being a term for what is negligible as before. This edition of the Osnabrück Yearbook Peace talks focus on aspects of a new way of dealing with social dangers. From this point of view, the topics of the podium and lecture events of the past year appear again in a new light. Further contributions deepen and supplement these considerations.
