Publisher's Synopsis
In 1958, a young detective inspector named Edward Sanders loses hope with the effectiveness of the police force he is sworn to serve. To make matters worse, his father is running around at night hunting members of a blood-letting gang and claiming them to be vampires led by Vola, the vampire queen. Forced to face the possibility his father is an insane murderer, DI Sanders refuses to entertain any of the wild protective measures his father urges him to implement.
After his father is murdered in a police cell, DI Sanders throws himself into his work and targets the real problem with society: bureaucracy. By 1961, he has established Operation WetFish - a legal and unorthodox department where not-guilty verdicts are overturned through back-alley executions. Captured and tortured by Vola, Sanders witnesses strange events which suggest his father was not so crazy after all. A stubborn realist, Sanders knows he must come to terms with the truth; else his entire department will be exterminated before it can truly begin.
