Publisher's Synopsis
This is a collection of creative non-fiction. The stories and poems are written by a woman who was given a late diagnosis, at the age of 40, of Asperger's. These essays and poems describe what it was like for her both before and after realizing that she was on the Autism Spectrum and what ways she could best navigate a world in which she was different but nevertheless as valuable as any other being. The author hopes this collection will be positively affirming for others who have ASD or are otherwise neurodivergent. She also hopes this book will help members of the community and family members to better support people with Autism. The author was also diagnosed with PTSD, in no small part because of a failure to recognize that she had ASD and she hopes others will experience greater understanding and support with the aid of this book.
