The name is the mark or sign, or the sound of such mark or sign, which distinguishes or differences particular persons when it is seen or heard. The law does not nicely require to know what a man may or might with propriety be called, but, dealing only with the ordinary means of recognition, demands and is satisfied with the name of reputation: it asks, by what name is the person known Even in cases of mistake: Nil facit error nominis enm de corpore rel persona constat.
