Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from On Relations Between the Color and the Composition and Constitution of the Alkali Salts of Nitrophenols: Comparison of the Metasulphaminebenzoic Acids Made by Different Methods
The alkali salts of the nitrophenols, so far as they have been made, show quite a Wlde variation in color and this difference of color has been studied by Carnelly and Alexander(1ln the case of the sodium and potassium salts of ortho and paranitrophenol. Since this work of Carnally and Alexander the subject has not been further investigated and in some cases, notably in the case of metanitrophenol, the number of salts is extremely small. In none of them has either the rubidium or caesium salt been made. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
