The events of those years, when interpreted correctly, give us an accurate understanding of the hour in which we currently live, and the reality of the need for prophetic voices in our day.The struggles of Israel at times seem to read like the stories found in today's newspapers, and the situations and lives of the Israelites often feel similar to our own. The God who was in relationship with the Israelites of the Old Testament is the same God with whom we have relationship today. In gaining understanding about the events, issues, and people of the Old Testament, we can better know, love, and understand God as we move forward into the final hours of this age.
