Publisher's Synopsis
In the northernmost reaches of the county of Middlesex lies the picturesque village of Pinner and its close-by hamlet of Hatch End. This new book is a detailed pictorial record of the development of the area where the author grew up, noting the changes around him as the developers of the 1930s systematically substituted tress and fields with bricks and mortar. His account tells of the many changes and the wanton destruction of the post-war years wrought in the name of progress. The book includes many rare images that have not been seen before, including some photographs taken many years ago by the author himself.
