A long list of collateral events also characterized the Centennial year. Chief among these were the quadrennial conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church, the convention of the American Library Association, the annual meeting of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, the convention of the Society Of American Flo'rists, and other important State and National assemblages.
