This journal was by feveral accidents prevent ed from arriving in England till june 1750, and is now made publick without the author's know ledge, at the inftance of feveral gentlemen, who were more in number than could conveniently perufe the manufcript. Had he intended it for publication he would have made it probably more entertaining and perhaps have retrenched fome parts that made the leaft figure in it.
