Excerpt from Observations on the Epidemic Now Prevailing in the City of New-York: Called the Asiatic or Spasmodic Cholera; With Advice to the Planters of the South, for the Medical Treatment of Their Slaves
IN offering to the public the second edition of my Observations on the Epidemic Cholera, it may, per haps, be deemed necessary that I should make a few remarks respecting the additions which have been made to them.
At the request of many of my friends, I have con sented to publish my opinions in relation to the diet and drinks proper to be followed and used during the epidemic. This subject I have treated with as much brevity as I have been able, consistently with my wish to make myself perfectly understood.
