Page 41 Life; a Flowing River We can watch the river go by, or we can jump in the river and go with the flow into the unknown future, or wonder where the river came from (past). If we search the past, we will finally find, we think, the source of the river at the mountain, but the mountain just collects the rain drops that form the river and we will find that the water comes from nowhere, out of the sky. If we choose to stay in the river (the future from a bystanders point of view), we will eventually wash up on shore somewhere, and call it our destiny; yet the river still flows.
