The Museums Education Initiative (MEI) was founded in the conviction that the changes taking place in the Scottish education system provided an opportunity to promote the range of primary source material, housed within museums, as a significant resource for teachers.;This text is a culmination of the MEI, intended as the means by which the experiences and lessons learned during the three-year programme are communicated to and can ultimately benefit a wider audience.
