Armella Pitteard, a native of San Francisco, CA, attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. She received her BFA (Bachelors in Fine Art) in 2D Animation on May 11th, 2017. Armella has been on student projects and many collaborations while attending the Academy of Art University. She has worked in an on-campus collaboration program called Day Job, with independent artists as well as the Ribbon project where she was credited for her work. After graduating, Armella was eager to find a position where she could learn more and gain experience. She then began working for a 2D App Company in San Jose, CA. At this company, she was able to expand her skills as a lead Animator. Armella also completed many personal projects and was asked to do projects around the city of San Francisco. You can see some of her work at Just a Touch Christian Book Store, and the UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay, both located in San Francisco, CA. Since she was a child, Armella always dreamed of a career with DreamWorks, Nickelodeon, Studio Ghibli and Cartoon Network. Armella Pitteard is a confident and knowledgeable artist. Many clients and viewers of Armella's work would say she is unique because of her selfless ambition and openness to learn and the passion she has for her craft. Her short goal is to produce an independent film and have an art studio where she can develop her own short films. Armella Pitteard has heart, dedication and commitment to her work which makes her excited about her future in the art industry. Individuals that inspired her are Hyao M. and Glen Knee. Both artists have had a huge impact on Armella's art life and the excitement that she gains from them shows in her work.
