Updated annually by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, this edition of the Coding Manual contains CPTr 2012 codes and descriptions for procedures most frequently performed by obstetrics/gynecologists. Included in this manual is information for each code from Medicare's National Correct Coding Initiative (CCI) along with codes for non- Medicare patients. This presentation allows coders to compare the issues between Medicare and non-Medicare patients. ACOG Coding Committee guidance related to coding and reimbursements issues is included as well as ACOG clinical vignettes. All codes are grouped by body system or type of service to complement the American Medical Association CPTr book designations.
