Publisher's Synopsis

for SATB (with divisions) and organ or orchestra This arrangement of 'O Jesulein süss', a chorale first written by German composer Samuel Scheidt (1587-1654) and later arranged and popularized by J. S. Bach, sets an English text translated by Percy Dearmer (1867-1936). The lilting triple metre, legato lines, and suspensions complement the soothing beauty of this lullaby-like carol. The work was arranged by Mack Wilberg to commemorate the 80th season of the Bach Society of St Louis. Orchestral material is available on hire/rental.
