Publisher's Synopsis

Henry Normal is one of the most original talents to emerge on the comedy circuit in recent years. He is popular both as a performance poet and as a stand-up alternative comic. He has performed in every kind of venue, from theatres to prisons and libraries, in pop concerts and on numerous radio and television programmes. He has appeared in cities throughout the world, from New York to Helsinki, as well as several times on the Edinburgh Fringe. He was the originator, star and co-writer of Channel Four's Packet of Three. He co-writes Paul Calf with Steve Coogan for Saturday Zoo, and has a live poetry series on BBC Radio 4, Encyclopaedia Poetica. His latest project is a two-hander comic play called Road to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwrndrobwllllantysiliogogogogoch. When not on the road, he lives in Manchester. Nude Modelling for the Afterlife is a book of poems and performance pieces, including the daringly new as well as the tried and tested. It has the best bits from his shows and the uncensored bits from several previous small press books of poems.
