This is the teacher's book of a Russian course meeting the requirements of the revised Modern Languages Orders and the new GCSE syllabuses. Nova Iskra replaces Iskra, previously published by Stanley Thornes. The other books in the course are planned for autumn 1996 and spring 1997.;The teacher's book, as well as including complete transcripts and - where appropriate - answers, also provides: full support in the form of teaching notes for all the tasks; ideas for extension of certain tasks to suti differing needs; photocopiable grammar sheets giving explanations in English, to be used at the teacher's discretion (these correspond to the Proverka exercises); and photocopiable worksheets which give opportunities for extra practice and which are suitable for independent self-study.;There are also cassettes which comprise new recordings using a range of native Russian speakers.
