Publisher's Synopsis
Every person who has been on a journey will have a unique story to tell however there can be a few very important teachings he can pass to the ones, his children, who are about to step out on their individual journeys. Surely their stories would be different and they will definitely gather some unique teachings to further pass on. There are some basic ways, if known by one, she or he can have a more prepared and informed beginning and focus more on the journey, rather than the equipment or the tools. I feel it is my duty to make my daughter aware of my learning and so this book is not only about me and my daughter but can be used as a guide, which can be given to any child. The pressing need for this is not so hard to understand. I was not given any of the tools and hence it took me years just to figure out things on my own, wasting my precious time just standing on the side of the road mostly, rather than continuing and discovering. I did eventually discover them on my own accord and understandably think it as my foremost duty to hand them over to my daughter. I figured out that this is one of the key and basic knowledge, which a parent owes to his or her children. This is the kind of value add which will remain with them and they further pass it on. While i realized all of this, i was also looking for a medium to express myself and hence this book came into being knowing that sometimes to write is more useful for its value of permanence and recall. Words can be forgotten, a long speech can lose it's essence almost as soon as it gets over. Hence the need to write, covering varied topics and domains. To the parents who will read this first, please add your own tools, if you have any, other than what this book has. To the children who will read this, i insist in all sincerity, to not take this as another monotonous book, even though it might feel like it at times, from your syllabus. But to take this as someone who will be your true friend, not someone who is flashy and goes away in a flash. This one will be true to you, honest and look up to you at times. Finally do keep a pencil in your hands and mark whatever paragraphs you deem as important for you and can be referred to, at a later stage of your life. And it's absolutely alright if you find only some part of it as important, rest you might already know or have another opinion on it. Perfect, however, know this, truth is only one, there are no versions of it. My best wishes to you for a happy, joyous and fulfilling life. Remember, no one can steal your thunder from you, it always was and will be yours!
