Books like these are small history books. It covers a period of forty years of experience as an organist in churches of all sorts. It also includes stories, little thoughts about songs, psalms and hymns, and conversations with other people. All of these things, told from the eyes of a musician. These are experiences in and outside the church. About the fact that Christians sometimes look as if they live in sadness, like troubled cop, or a student whom God had said 'no' to. Jan Teeuw was born in 1949 in Bergschenhoek, a town in the Netherlands. He married Joke in 1978 and together they have three children: Erik, Bart and Anne. After high school, he received organ and piano lessons from Piet van Egmond and George Stam. Theo Teunissen led him to take the teaching degree exam so that he could teach music. Every day he gives organ and piano lessons. As an organist he is connected to two churches. For several years, he wrote for magazines; some stories are now for you.
