Fra le traduzioni antiche in prosa delle Eroz'di ovidiane la più diffusa è quella attribuita a Filippo (bedi, contenuta in ben trentasei manoscritti dei secoli XIV e XV(1), e pubblicata anche due volte nel Secolo XV e due nel XIX e, sia per questa sua maggior diffusione, sia per altre ragioni delle quali si vedrà poi l'importanza, credo opportuno cominciar da essa la mia trattazione, sebbene non le spetti assai probabilmente il primo posto, ove si abbia riguardo alla antichità.
