Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Nominations of George Opfer and Vanessa Ruiz: Hearing Before the Committee on Governmental Affairs, United States Senate, One Hundred Third Congress, Second Session
I can think of no person better qualified for the position of In spector General of the Federal Emergency Management Agency than George Opfer. He obviously had a good training ground. He served in various positions within the Secret Service for the past 25 years, from protection, to inspection, and investigations.
He has a family tradition of involvement in law enforcement. His brother, Bob, who is here today, is a Special Agent in Charge of the Washington Federal Office of the Federal Bureau of Investiga tion.
