Publisher's Synopsis
Lou Bertignac is thirteen, with an IQ of 160. At home her father hides his sadness, while her mother, after the death of her second child, barely speaks. Lou escapes by frequenting Paris's Gare d'Austerlitz; observing the emotional scenes amid the arrivals and departures. There she meets No, a homeless girl, and makes her the subject of her class project. Then No disappears, leaving Lou devastated. However, when Lou's parents agree to let No come to live with them, she sets out to bring her up to the light of a home and a family life. Or so she believes.
