While these alterations were being carried on, the main entrance was closed and temporary entrances provided. These were, however, so inconvenient that many readers temporarily discontinued the use of the Library, in consequence of which our circulation has not increased as rapidly as anticipated. The total circulation for 1892 was being an increase of over that of 1891.
