This book gives the basic information required for makingexperiments in neutron or x-ray scattering or spectroscopy.These experiments are usually executed at large facilitiesfar from the scientist's home laboratory. One of the maingoals of this book is to teach the scientist thepossibilities offered to him in these institutions. The short chapters are written byexperts in the field and can be read independently.
