Publisher's Synopsis
This short story gives you a glimpse into a future universe of haves and the have nots, birthed by a technological explosion of an out-of-control singularity, and most importantly, a glimpse into the stories that are born because of it. This story is a tale of an individual's desperation to survive the singularity at any cost before it takes everything from him. In an age of rampant automation and the ever-looming threat of homelessness, the protagonist's options for survival are very limited. The only choice he has left is to embrace technology itself as the solution or to be left trying to survive on the crowded streets with the rest of the growing homeless population. Even after finding a solution with the help of a brain-computer interface, he will soon discover that his troubles are not quite solved and that maybe the streets were not too bad of an option after all.
