Nectar From Sea of Fire

Nectar from Sea of Fire portrays the untold story of one among the greatest sage poets of India - Tunjath Ramanujan Ezhuthachan. The life and work of this renowned sage, poet and teacher, who lived five conturies ago, is succinctly pieced together and passionately told by C. Radhakrishnan.

The book sketches Ezhuthachan's life and creative instinct through the great sage's own mind and emotions. The mental strength of rishis of the yore, a deep insight to karma yoga practiced by them and profound knowledge of Vedantic philosophy unfold as the work progresses. The work paints the socio-political and cultural ambience that prevailed in this part of the world five conturies back - intensive and pioneering research filling a void in the world atlas of sociological development, progressing against a backdrop of high flying emotions ranging from passion to valor - making it a great masterpiece.

Originally written in Malayalam language and entitled 'Theekkadal Kadanhu Thirumadhuram', the work has gone into multiple impressions and won many a laurel including the Ezhuthachan Puraskaram (the highest literary honor the Kerala State provides) and the Moortidevi Award of the Bharatiya Jnanpith Trust for the best creative effort in Indian languages. The book has been translated into Hindi and various other Indian languages.
