Publisher's Synopsis
Narrative analysis focuses on the stories told by research participants: complete stories with a beginning, a middle and an end. Narrative analysis is interested in the broader interpretive frameworks used by both the participant and the researcher to make sense of particular incidents in individuals' lives. The socio-cultural approach to narrative analysis goes beyond the structural language analysis of the sociolinguistic approach in order to identify the broader interpretive frameworks that people use to make sense of everyday life happenings.
