Set in the Harry Potter universe, Naomi Answara is a 21-year-old American auror fresh out of training. Because of her Thai heritage, the National Thai Magical Ministry hires her on as an apprentice auror. Overwhelmed with a country-wide modernization project, they need her to help them hunt down a local wizard that has gone mad, attacking the local guardian stones, deep and powerful magical basins for the people of northern Thailand. Headstrong and inexperienced, Naomi runs into trouble immediately. Adjusting to a foreign land, she has to learn to work with her colleagues and a few unexpected friends, quit starting wizarding bar brawls, and harness an awakening magic within her if she has a hope of facing a dark wizard whose power and ambition grows by the day.
