The book covers writing concepts that are overlooked when teaching writing. Though the writing process has contributed greatly to helping students improve their writing, very little instruction exists to assist students in understanding how to organize the ideas once they have generated them. Students need to be adept at identifying the function of each sentence in a paragraph.
