Publisher's Synopsis

Andy Stankowski was a high school graduate from Montreal who had gone to a private all-boys school and had no experience with girls. He started his first year at the University of Toronto in 1980 with high hopes. He soon met his dream girl who sent his heart soaring. It did not take long before his inexperience with dating spoiled his first relationship which resulted in a broken heart. Andy fell into a depression and struggled with his coursework. The year had started with a series of consecutive false starts. Andy then embarked on a journey of self-discovery and discovery of the opposite sex, including heartening dalliances with older women. By the end of the year, Andy's university experience made him an older, wiser, and experienced young man, although his transcripts did not reflect his coming-of-age.
