Movement - Designs in Science

Part of a series designed to develop children's knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of movement, structures, energy, light, sound, materials and technology, using an integrated science approach. A central theme running through the series is the close link between design in the natural world and design in modern technology.;This book introduces the readers to the principles and problems of movement in water, in the air and on the ground, with a further section on fluids and pumps, and draws comparisons between animals and machines.
