Cassandra must learn to control her magic before she accidentally casts a world ending spell, and there is only one person who can help her. They must travel to the Elven land of Alianthia to seek out the old harmonic Simmalion - a handy coincidence as that is where the healer, Vella, comes from. Josh is desperate to add her to his monster hunting party as her healing powers are second to none, and she's as beautiful as a goddess. If he can woo her to his side, Josh can complete his party and go monster hunting. But time isn't on Josh's side as monsters of all kinds are fleeing the Hangsane Mountains and invading the Elven lands.
