L'abbé George Dugas, l'excellent auteur de plusieurs ouvrages sur le Nord Ouest, m'a fourni de précieux renseignements; ce qui m'a permis, en y ajoutant 'quelques considérations, de la résumer dans le cadre restreint d'une conférence.
