Molecular and Evolutionary Cytogenetics of Domestic Animals is dedicated to the Indian scientist Parvathi K. Basrur, who initiated her creative and productive scientific career in India during the early 1950s. As a prominent founder of veterinary cytogenetics, for almost 60 years she has been fascinated by the magic of chromosomes focusing on animal health, reproduction and response to environmental exposure to toxins, carcinogens and clastogens.
