Publisher's Synopsis

Excerpt from Molecular Forces and Newtonian Laws

Force has no relation to time. Of the three quantities, mass, distance, and force, if any two be given the third can be found. Time does not enter into the calculation. Force is therefore a relation between particles of matter which varies according to distance only. This applies to the variation of attraction due to temperature, which can affect the force of attraction between particles only by affecting the distance between them.
