Light is a form of energy and can be converted into other forms and vice versa can be produced from other forms of energy. Electric lamps of various kinds are used to transform one kind of energy into light. A heated body radiates energy in the form of waves into the surrounding Space. The lower the temper ature the longer will be these waves, but at the lower temperatures heat only is given Off. As the temper ature increases the waves become shorter and the red rays begin to appear. With continued increase in temperature shorter and shorter waves are produced giving rays of light of different colors until at certain temperature white light which is a mixture of all colors is emitted.
