Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Modern Illuminants and Illuminating Engineering
Illumination would be welcome at the present moment. We have treated the subject on broad general lines. The initial portion of the book is devoted mainly to the various illuminants, the central portion to photometry and the efi'ect of light on the eye, and the last part to practical lighting problems. Our aim has been to bring together matter not usually available in a single volume, and the subject has been treated in a manner somewhat different from that adopted in previous text-books On Illumination.
